Day #1 | Salta - Cachi - Route 40 - Cafayate | |

00:00 | We leave Salta at 07:30 taking National Route 68 to the south of the Lerma Valley, passing through the towns of Cerrillos and La Merced, until we reach the town of El Carril where we will take Provincial Route 33 to go west. A few km away we leave behind the Lerma Valley and enter the Quebrada de los Laureles, where its abundant vegetation stands out. We continue along the same route that takes us to Cuesta del Obispo with its imponent landscape. Then we will continue to Cerro El Torreón and Cerro Malcante will take us above 3400 meters over sea level to then enter to Los Cardones National Park, and around noon we cross Payogasta to arrive in Cachi. After lunch we take National Route 40 and continue our trip visiting the Camino de los Artesanos, Seclantas, Molinos, the magic of the Quebrada de las Flechas, Corte las Flechas and the Ventisquero. We then continue to take the well-deserved photos to get to know San Carlos and arrive in Cafayate in the afternoon, where we will spend the night. |
Day #2 | Cafayate - Salta | |
00:00 | During the morning we visit the town, the museum of La Vid y El Vino and some wineries. After lunch, in the way back to Salta, we will enjoy the beautiful Quebrada de Cafayate or also called Quebrada de las Conchas. For 65 km we will have the most varied landscapes in colors and geoforms, among which Los Castillos, Las Ventanas stand out without forgetting La Garganta de Diablo and El Amphitheater among the most beautiful, until we reach Alemania where we enter the Lerma Valley again. . Continuing along National Route 68 to the north through different tobacco towns of the fertile Lerma Valley, such as Coronel Moldes, El Carril, La Merced and Cerrillos, we will arrive in the city of Salta late afternoon. |
