Day #1 | Salta City Tour | |

This will be a half day tour where we will visit the downtown perimeter of Salta City with its Cathedral, Cabildo, Convento San Bernardo all of them located near the main plaza 9 de Julio. Then we will start the way to Monumento Guemes and Cerro San Bernardo. After this, we will also visit the San Lorenzo Gorge which is a summer village located at about 20 km from the Downtown. The tour will then visit the handcraft market and start to drop off passengers in hotels again. |
Day #2 | Salta, Quebrada de las Conchas, and Cafayate | |

In this tour we will visist the "Land of the sun and the good wine". We will depart from the city of Salta along route 68, towards the city of land and wine, about 180 km from Salta, crossing the Lerma Valley, and then entering the Quebrada de las Conchas Nature Reserve. . A 90 km low cornice road takes us through a narrow valley surrounded by colorful hills, where orange and red predominate. Here we will find geoforms carved by wind and water over millions of years (Devils Throat, Amphitheater, Los Castillos, Casa de Loros, el Fraile, las Ventanas, la Yesera, el Obelisk, el Sapo). After touring these places we will arrive at the town of Cafayate to visit a winery and taste its famous torrontés wine. After the visit, free time for lunch (at the passengers expense) and tour the town, you can visit the Museum of Wine (admission not included), which has state-of-the-art technology and presents the history of winemaking from its beginnings. Then we will begin the return to Salta through the same route, which will offer us a completely different landscape than the one appreciated on the outward journey, due to the position of the sun. |
Day #3 | Salta and Cachi | |

The tour begins leaving the Lerma Valley, driving through different towns such as Cerrillos and La Merced until El Carril where we take another road to Chicoana. We enter “Quebrada de los Laureles”, visiting Escoipe where the movie “La Guerra Gaucha” was shot. A family that lives by selling souvenirs on the Cuesta del Obispo. After passing El Maray we reach the wonderful Cuesta del Obispo where we will enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Valle Encantado until we reach Piedra del Molino at 3348 meters above sea level. This will be the highest point in the tour to Cachi. We start going down through the Los Cardones national park where you will see thousands of cacti and other protected species. After passing by Payogasta, we will reach Cachi, famous for its archeological museum and church. It has a central square surrounded by cobbled streets and houses with stone bases, adobe walls covered with lime and white sand, wrought iron bars, cardón or cane roofs covered with mud. The excursion visits the Archaeological Museum and the parish church. Return to Salta by the same road. |
Day #4 | Humahuaca Gorge in Jujuy | |

A visit to the destination consecrated as a Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO) crossing the homonymous Gorge, discovering exceptional landscapes, peoples and cultures. Unique towns are shown, such as Purmamarca, famous for the framework of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, Maimará, with colorful slopes called Paleta del Pintor. Tilcara stands out for its Pucará (fortress in height) whose ruins have been partially. Uquía shows its chapel, built in the 17th century, worked in laminated gold, Humahuaca gives its name to the Quebrada and is its largest population, with cobbled streets and iron lampposts on the corners, it is also the highest point of the route, 2,940 meters above sea level. Main attractions: The Monument to Independence, the Cathedral Church and the Municipal Building. |
Day #5 | Salinas Grandes and Purmamarca | |

From the city of Salta, we will take the RN 9 and then RN 34. Further on we enter the province of Jujuy, where we will have the opportunity to visit a part of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, we will visit some of its towns, among which Purmamarca stands out where we will find the Cerro de los 7 Colores; After the visit we will ascend the incredible Cuesta de Lipán, where we will reach 4,170 meters above sea level and we will be able to appreciate its spectacular flora and fauna; We arrive at the Salinas Grandes, where we can appreciate all its magnitude and obtain the most beautiful and creative photos. We return to the town of Purmamarca, where we will have lunch and you can enjoy the llama meat if you wish and also get to know the acclaimed town of Purmamarca, with its picturesque and rustic streets, with uphill paths. You can enjoy Paseo Los Colorados. In the afternoon we will return to Salta and make some final stops. |
